Hyundai driver sought after cyclist knocked out by car door on Ipswich's Fore Hamlet
Police want to speak to a driver after a cyclist was knocked out during a crash in Ipswich on Monday.
Officers said a man in his 20s was cycling down Fore Hamlet at about 8am, when the rear door of a car in stationary traffic - near to the traffic lights - was opened in his path.
He collided with the door and was knocked unconscious.
The female passenger who opened the door stayed with him, but the driver of the car, believed to have been a dark-coloured Hyundai 4x4 or similar, drove off without stopping.
The cyclist did not get any details for the passenger of the vehicle.
Officers are now appealing for the driver of the car or the passenger to come forward.
They would also like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who was driving in the vicinity at the time with a dashcam in their car who may have captured the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Ipswich East Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101, quoting reference SC-19012022-80.
