Ipswich Westgate Street cordoned off following serious assault

A police cordon is in place at a shopping hotspot after a suspected serious assault in a town centre.

Police were called to Westgate Street, Ipswich, at 3.35pm, after reports that a male had been assaulted.

Ambulance crews are also in attendance and a section of the street has been blocked off.

Police have since confirmed that an 18-year-old man died following a stabbing.
