Toddle About Baby Show returns to Ipswich Wherstead Park for another year to raise funds with live talks, demos and activities for children
A free baby event for families and parents-to-be is returning to Ipswich for another year as it aims to raise vital funds for a local charity.
The Toddle About Baby Show, which will be held in Wherstead Park on October 15, will offer attendees a chance to seek advice from industry professionals, listen to live demonstrations and talks, and shop all things bump, baby and toddler.
The event will also hold a raffle competition to raise money for Home-Start, a charity which offers support and friendships for parents across Suffolk.
After a successful show last autumn, the mother of two, Pia Howe, from Risby, decided to continue the event, adding its first charity fundraiser this year.
Pia, who is also a managing director at Toddle About, said: “This event not only provides a platform for families to connect and enjoy a fantastic day out, but it also enables us to support a cause that empowers and assists vulnerable families in our community.
“I urge parents to join us on the day and help support the charity.”
Attendees can purchase raffle tickets at the event with a chance to win prices donated by local businesses and sponsors, including swimming lessons, children books from Suffolk Libraries and a maternity photoshoot worth £500.
Alison Watson, fundraising and marketing manager at Home-Start, expressed her gratitude.
She said: “We are delighted that the Toddle About team have chosen to support Home-Start at this year’s baby show.
“This is a great event which will allow Home-Start to share more about the support we offer to families and the amazing work of our volunteers as well as reach those that might be interested in finding out more about joining our volunteer team.”

During the event, families will also have a chance to participate in various sport activities, including football and rugby.
There will also be a soft play area for children with colourful toys, slides, and interactive elements to release energy.
Refreshments and snacks will be available to purchase onsite and there will be a baby feeding area. Free parking is included.
