RSPCA confirms closures across Suffolk for Queen's funeral
The RSPCA has confirmed it will be closing in Suffolk on Monday, September 19.
The animal welfare group said it will be shutting its shops and animal centre so its staff and customers can pay respect to The Queen on her funeral.
Everything will be open at normal times on Tuesday and resuming service.
A spokesperson for the charity said: "Staff and volunteers across the RSPCA share the nation’s sadness on the passing of our monarch and patron, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
"During her 70-year reign The Queen was well known for her love of animals and particularly her beloved dogs."
The charity was given royal approval by Queen Victoria in 1840, and took part in Elizabeth II silver jubilee in 1977 and the patron's lunch in 2016.
The RSPCA will also be honouring Elizabeth II by giving out a new award in her name from 2024.
