FA competition draws are made
Haverhill Borough have been handed away ties to the same opposition in their opening rounds of both the FA Cup and FA Vase.
The road to Wembley begins in The Emirates FA Cup begins for Haverhill Rovers and Haverhill Borough on August 15 when they are among 736 clubs in the extra preliminary round all dreaming of a successful and lucrative run.
Incredibly, Martin Wescott’s Borough will travel to Spartan South Midlands League Division One side Welywn Garden City in the FA Cup before also making the trip to Hertfordshire again in the FA Vase first qualifying round on Saturday, September 5.
Haverhill Rovers enter the FA Cup on August 15 with a home tie to fellow Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Mildenhall Town, with £1,500 prize money for the winners.
Their FA Vase journey begins on September 5 away to lower-league Halstead Town, with the winners pocketing £800.
