Woman, 36, and boy, 15, arrested in Haverhill on suspicion of drug offences




Police have arrested two people in connection with drug activity in Haverhill.

On Wednesday, July 17 officers stopped a Honda Civic and searched its occupants at a garage block next to Ickleton Place and Linton Place.

A quantity of cash and a suspected wrap of drugs were recovered.

A 36-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs. Both were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

The 15 year old was released under investigation pending further investigation while Kerry Pryce of Chester Court, Haverhill, was charged with six counts of shoplifting in Haverhill between July 10 and 25. She appeared in Ipswich Magistrates court on July 18 and was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison.

On the same day officers conducted a drugs warrant following intelligence received at an address in Hazel Close, noting was found but officers are continuing their proactive work in the town and reassurance patrols remain in the Haverhill area over the coming days.
