Haverhill fitness instructors ready to go through the pain barrier to help the NHS

Three instructors at a Haverhill-based fitness company are aiming to complete a gruelling charity challenge this Sunday to raise money for the NHS.

Driven by the wish to do something to help health care professionals who are coping with the demands place on them by the current coronavirus pandemic, the trio from Next Level Fitness will each look to complete 1000 burpees in eight hours.

A burpee is also known as a squat thrust.

The company's co-founder, Ben Robinson (who is also a footballer at Newmarket Town) and employees Richard Daniels (who is an on-call firefighter) and Branham Ince will be raising money for NHS Charities Together/Association of NHS Charities.

Ben said: "Doing 1,000 of them is quite an ask but we are confident we can do them."

They have already busted their initial target of £1,000 but want to raise even more.
