Traffic lights to be in place on A143 in Barnardiston, near Haverhill, after car hits lamppost, near Water Lane

Traffic lights will be in place in a village road after a car crashed into a lamppost.

Police were alerted at 5.41am to the single-vehicle collision on the A143 in Barnardiston, just before the junction with Water Lane.

No injuries were reported and the road was blocked.

UK Power Networks was informed.

A police spokesperson said there was a possibility of a power outage for residents.

They said traffic lights will be in place with the route reduced to one lane.
