Fourth arrest made in Haverhill in Thetford murder investigation




A 17-year-old has been arrested in Haverhill on suspicion of assisting an offender and conspiracy to supply Class A drugs in connection with the murder of a man in Thetford.

The teenage girl was arrested at an address in in the town yesterday morning and was taken to Norfolk for questioning before being released on bail. Four arrests have now been made in Haverhill in connection to the murder.

It is the 15th arrest in connection with the murder of 25-year-old David Lawal who died in Brandon Road, Thetford, on the evening of Thursday, October 3, after being stabbed.

A 23-year-old man from Haverhill was arrested on October 17, on suspicion of assisting an offender.

He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was released under investigation.

A 33-year-old man from Ilford, Essex, was also arrested at a Haverhill property on October 16 on

On the same day a 22-year-old from Haverhill was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He was released under investigation pending further inquiries.
