Mare Hill road closed for emergency repairs in Hundon near Haverhill until end of the week after water main bursts

A road will be closed for emergency repairs for the rest of the week due to a burst water main.

Mare Hill in Hundon, near Haverhill, was closed both ways from Lower Road to Clockhall Lane for emergency repairs on Sunday, September 24.

An Anglian Water spokesperson said: “We are very sorry for the disruption caused to road users on Mare Hill.

“We needed to close the road to enable us to repair a burst main in the area.

“Our teams on site will be working to complete the job and plan to reopen the road by the end of this week.

“We are grateful to customers and road users for their patience while we carry out this essential work.”
