Samuel Ward Academy has been transformed into an interactive science attraction by the ‘On the Road’ team from Cambridge Science Centre.

More than 800 pupils from Samuel Ward Academy and their feeder primary schools have been visiting the five day event this week.

The pupils from year three to year eight have seen science come to life in a 90 minute session.

Each pupil tried the hands-on science exhibits, completed a workshop called ‘You Are What You Eat’ and have seen a show on Spectrum Science.

The Principal, Andy Prestoe said: “This is a great opportunity for all pupils within our partnership schools to enjoy an exciting, hands on experience of science.

“We look forward to the next one as we feel an understanding of science is essential for everyone.”
