Haverhill Police to increase presence in hot spots after reports of TikTok craze intimidating vulnerable
Police in Haverhill have contacted parents in the town after a rise in anti-social behaviour, including a TikTok craze where people kick doors, sometimes in tune to a specific song.
Other anti-social behaviour reported to police includes throwing stones, damage to property and the intimidation of vulnerable people.
In the letter the police said: "The evenings are now dark and we would encourage parents to be aware of where their children are and to have those conversations about their behaviour whilst in the community."
They added that they will 'continue to deal with those individuals responsible for the incidents robustly' and the behaviour 'will not be tolerated'.
The police said that most reports of anti-social behaviour they have received have described young people as the perpetrators.
Parents were told that there will now be a larger police presence in affected areas which have been highlighted as hot spots.
