Motors take pride of place at Haverhill’s market
Some gleaming examples of custom and classic cars and scooters were on show in Haverhill town centre on Saturday (11).
The mixture of about 20 cars and 20 scooters were all out on show for passers-by to take a look at.
Called Motors on the Market, it was organised to coincide with the market to attract more shoppers to it and Haverhill town centre.
The organisers of the event and the market, St Edmundsbury Council, decided to bring it back after it was well received on its debut in 2014.
The scooters included those belonging to members of the Haverhill Circles Scooter Club, plus clubs in Sudbury, Cambridge and the A604 Arrows.
Market trader Paul Firman ran a competition for the best scooters and donated the trophies to the winners Chris Simpkin with his GP 200 Lambretta and Martin Crocker with his Vespa P200E.
The cars were organised by the Facebook group Outcasts Elite.
