Man assaulted and robbed in Haverhill today

A man was threatened and assaulted in a robbery in Haverhill today, Friday January 8.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the robbery that took place in an alleyway that connects Leiston Road to Abercorn Court, near Harrow Road at around 1am.

The victim was walking along the alleyway when he was pushed by unknown offenders, causing him to fall to the floor.

The suspects assaulted him and threatened him, demanding money. The victim gave the attackers some cash, and they then ran off.

The victim sustained bruising to his hand and ankle.

One suspect is described as being 5 foot 11 inches tall, of medium to stocky build and was wearing a green Lambretta coat, jeans and black trainers.

He was carrying a wooden stick in his hand. The other attackers are described as being 5 foot 6 inches tall and 5 foot 10 inches tall and were both wearing dark coloured hooded tops.
