Little Wonders celebrate VE Day
The end of the Second World War was commemorated by pre-school children.
On Friday at Little Wonders Pre-school Parkway staff and children celebrated VE day.
Children came to school dressed in red white and blue and held a party in the garden, reminiscent of street celebrations that greeted the end of the conflict in 1945. Children played wartime songs and made cakes decorated with union jacks. They had also had a visit from Cllr Betty Mclatchy, who came along to join in the celebrations.
On May 23, the pre-school will hold a Fun Day and Kids’ Market from 10.30am to 3pm at the pre-school. There will be a bouncy castle, barbecue, face painting and stalls.
