Haverhill’s Summer Bash takes place on the Recreation Ground on Sunday (19), with the first ever Haver5 fun run signalling the start of the day’s fun at 10am.

The event runs to 4pm and is organised with the aim of boosting morale in Haverhill, raising money for good causes and providing a fun family day out.

It is supported by Haverhill Town Council, the arts centre and ONE Haverhill and among the many attractions will be Patsy May & Mavis, courtesy of Haverhill puppeteer, Laura Bacon, Delboy with his Robin Reliant and Hagrid and Harry Potter with their motorbike and sidecar

Entries are still being sought for the Car Show, The Gallery Baby Show, Flower Show and Cake Show, plus the Dog Show.

There is also a Tug of War and a full programme of musicians, bands, dancing and displays, refreshments, a raffle and a Lazy car Boot - no cars on until 8am, £6 for cars and £10 for larger vehicles.

The Haver5 costs £7 for under 16s and £12 for adults, with goody bags and medals for all finishers plus trophies for category winners.

You can enter from 2pm to 5pm on Saturday or 8am to 10am on Sunday at the Next Door Café, adjacent to Haverhill Methodist Church in Camps Road.
