Haverhill school hosts annual picnic and fair
More than 350 families joined their children for al fresco fun during Samuel Ward Academy’s Key Stage Three picnic and fair.
Year seven and eight pupils, who were running enterprise stalls for their House charities, were joined by numerous family members.
Entertainment was provided by The School Orchestra and pupils provided home made cakes and refreshments to boost the fund-raising.
There were games such as beat the keeper, hoopla, tin can alley and pin the tie on the pupil.
Each house raised money for their charity; Cavell for Help for Heroes, Darwin for the World Wildlife Fund and Brunel for Plan, raising £1,202.
