Haverhill Library needs reading challenge Volunteers
The town’s library is looking for volunteers to help out with the Summer Reading Challenge.
The role would ideally be for two to eight hours per week for a minimum of six weeks over the school summer holidays. Volunteers would be required to sign up children to the challenge and explain how it works, encouraging them to read and help them choose new books.
Talk to them about the books they’ve been reading and encourage them to share their views and ideas, keep accurate records, help with other library duties, including creating library displays and hand out reading rewards, including stickers and medals.
Visit the library in Camps Road to find out more.
