Suffolk Police seek witnesses after dangerous driving incident in Haverhill




Police are appealing for witnesses after a black Audi Q3 was sighted driving dangerously in the Haverhill area.

At around 9.30pm on Friday night, the car was sighted behind a blue BMW on the first leg of the A1017 60mph bypass, coming from Cambridge into Suffolk.

The Audi tailed the BMW at high speed without attempting to overtake.

The cars both turned into Burton End towards Anglian Place, ultimately overtaking the BMW several times in a 30mph road.

The Audi then slammed on its brakes, blocking the road.

No collision occurred, nor were any injuries reported.

The driver of the suspect vehicle is described as a white male with dark hair in their 20s or 30s.

At the time, they were wearing a black top.

A dark-haired white male in a grey top was observed in the passenger seat of the Audi.

Anybody who witnessed the incident, or who may have potentially relevant dashcam footage, is urged to contact Haverhill Police, quoting crime reference 37/6980/23.
