Morgan’s Butchery in Baythorne Hall, near Haverhill, named best in Anglia at 2025 Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards
The title of Best Retailer in the Anglia Region has been bestowed upon a butcher’s shop near Haverhill - the latest in a string of accolades for the business.
The shop, based at Baythorne Hall, just three miles from Haverhill, won the title last Monday at the 2025 Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards.
Since taking on the shop in March 2023, Miles Nicholas and his team, which includes his daughter Amy, has won numerous awards.
These include Essex Small Business of the Year Founders Award 2024 and Women In Meat Industry Awards, also in 2024.
Miles, who recovered from a stroke to go on and take over Morgan’s - his first shop - also won £20,000 in the Stelios Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs 2023.
On Morgan’s Butchery’s latest triumph, Amy, who lives in Haverhill, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to have won the Best Retailer in East Anglia at the Farm Shop and Deli Awards.
“Our hard work and dedication have truly paid off, and we're so grateful to the esteemed judges for recognising our passion and thank you to all our amazing customers for supporting us on this journey."
The awards, presented in partnership with The Grocer and championed by Fieldfare, showcased an impressive lineup of nine category winners, six regional champions, and a Newcomer of the Year award.
The judging panel was particularly impressed by Morgan’s Butchery, with judges offering high praise in the following comments.
