Haverhill town centre will be abuzz this weekend with street entertainment, live music and craft beers.

This is the fourth year of the popular beer and music festival, a family event that draws hundreds of visitors into the town.

On Saturday, the impressive line-up of professional entertainers share the town centre with the regular market traders and street entertainers, while Sunday sees an afternoon set of easy listening covers from Joe and Shell.

The event is being supported by St Edmundsbury Council’s markets team, who are keen to show what the town has to offer.

The first musical act is on stage at midday on Saturday and the final act gets underway at 7.30pm.

Sunday's musical offering runs from 12.15pm to 3.30pm.

Cllr Alaric Pugh, St Edmundsbury Cabinet member for Planning and Growth said: "The council has made the health of our high streets a priority and I believe Haverhill, with its lovely quality of there always being time for a word with neighbours, shopkeepers, market traders and all, has something special.

"It offers all the shops, services and amenities you’d expect of Suffolk’s fourth largest town, but feels more like a friendly village.

"Our aim in supporting events like this festival is to encourage surrounding villages to have another look at Haverhill, discover how things have changed by enjoying some time here and use it as their high street too."
