Arrest made in Haverhill as police hunt for murderer




Police swooped on a property in the Haverhill area on Tuesday afternoon to arrest two men in connection with a fatal stabbing in Thetford on October 3.

A 33-year-old man from Ilford was arrested on suspicion of murder.

A man in his 20s has been also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both have been taken into police custody for questioning.

Their arrests and the seventh and eighth that have been made in connection to Mr Lawal's murder.

The stabbing took place on Brandon Road, Thetford, shortly after 7pm on Thursday, October 3 where a man, provisionally identified as David Lawal, 25, suffered stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene just before 8pm.

Any witnesses or anybody with information should contact the Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team on 101 quoting Operation Petersfield.
