Suffolk mum thanks community after being struck by car outside Leiston Pharmacy while holding baby
A mum has thanked her community for its support after she was hit by a car while holding her seven-month-old baby.
The woman, who does not wish to be named, was checked over at hospital alongside her baby, after the fail-to-stop incident outside Leiston Pharmacy.
Though the mum was left shocked and with some pain and bruising, her baby was unharmed.
In a Facebook post she said: “Thank you so, so much to the two ladies who came and made sure we were okay and got us out of the road.
“I really don’t know what I would have done without you there.”
She continued: “Another massive thank you to Leiston Pharmacy staff for being so lovely and helpful, especially the pharmacist who went above and beyond to make sure we were both okay and getting us help.”
Police said they are continuing their investigation to locate the driver.
