Driver caught travelling at almost double the speed limit on 30mph road after enforcement checks in Saxmundham and Leiston

Police caught a driver travelling at almost double the speed limit down a 30mph road.

Officers were carrying out speed enforcement checks in Leiston and Saxmundham following recent complaints from members of the community.

During their checks, they issued two Traffic Offence Reports to motorists.

This included one for 55mph in a 30mph limit road and another one for 43mph in a 30mph limit.

A Halesworth Police spokesperson said that enforcement will continue throughout the year across the area.
