Felixstowe celebrates the centenary of it's Royal British Legion with a host of events




Musicians, cadets and military vehicles, will descend on Felixstowe this Saturday as the beach town celebrates the centenary of its Royal British Legion branch.

Starting at 10am the free event will have live performances across two stages in both The Triangle and at the shared-space along the main shopping street.

A parade is set to take place at 2pm, starting from the Orwell Hotel on Hamilton Road, marching down the high street, lead by pipes and British Legion drums.

Darren Aitchison, chairman for the Felixstowe Royal British Legion, said:"We are really excited, hopefully the weather will hold out!"

Later in the year the group will hold their Remembrance Sunday parade were veterans or serving military personnel to take part in the parade across the town.
