Man receives medical care after garage fire in Tomline Road, Felixstowe




A man received medical care after a garage fire broke out at a home in a seaside town.

Firefighters were called to Tomline Road in Felixstowe at around 12.10pm following reports of a garage fire attached to a two-storey home.

The fire was roughly 10 by 10 metres and three fire engines as well as the ambulance service attended.

Firefighters assisted with helping a man who is now in the care of the East of England Ambulance Service.

Crews worked to remove the contents of the garage, which had suffered extensive damage, while damping down the area.

The fire was extinguished within an hour and the scene was deemed safe by 1.55pm.
