A143 crash at Palgrave, near Diss, sees woman seriously injured and man rescued from van

A woman suffered serious injuries and a man was rescued from a van after a two-vehicle crash.

The incident on the A143 Old Bury Road, close to Priory Road, in Palgrave near Diss, was at about 6.45pm yesterday.

The vehicles involved in the collision, which saw ambulance, air ambulance and fire crew also attend, were a blue Toyota Aygo car and a white Peugeot Partner van.

The driver of the Toyota, a woman, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, with the man driving the van having to be helped from his vehicle.

He was also taken to hospital having sustained minor injuries.
