Areas surrounding River Waveney and Dove, including Diss, Eye, Mendlesham and Bungay, remain at risk of flooding as alert continues




A flood alert is still in place for areas surrounding two of the county’s major rivers.

The warning concerns River Waveney and Dove, from Diss to Ellingham, near Beccles.

Areas most at risk are low laying lands, roads and riversides around Diss, Eye, Mendlesham and Bungay.

This is due to rain that fell last night and this morning, which has now cleared into the North Sea.

However, minor flooding can still occur, with more showers expected tomorrow and Wednesday.

Gov.uk has warned to stay away from flood water.
