Suffolk Agri was formed in 1987 by directors David Eley and Ken Grimwood.

It offered new and second-hand agricultural machinery, including parts and servicing.

Franchises include McCormick Tractors, Amazone, Krone, McConnel, Teagle, Lynx, Cousins, Stocks and NC Trailers.

It also sold drills, mowers, balers, sprayers, ploughs, hedgecutters and other agricultural machinery, tools, and a range of footwear and clothing, toy tractors, ride-on pedal tractors and grain assurance products.

A spokesperson for McTear Williams & Wood Ltd said: “Suffolk Agri Centre Ltd closed its doors on February 19 and all 11 staff were made redundant on the same day after over 35 years of prior trading.

“Hayley Watson and Andrew McTear of McTear Williams & Wood Ltd were appointed joint liquidators of the company on March 7 and are in the process of auctioning the company’s plant, machinery and stock in order to realise assets for the benefit of creditors.”
