Hundreds of job seekers attended the popular IM job fair.
The Iliffe Media Job Fair, in association with the Bury Free Press, was held between 11am and 2pm at The Athenaeum, on Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds last week.
A wide range of businesses were represented from sectors including education, emergency services, legal services, health care and hospitality.
The IM Job Fair provides an ideal for those seeking their first job, looking to progress, or even change their career.
It also offers employers a vital opportunity to engage with the public face-to-face, to promote their business and network.
Businesses at the fair at The Athenaeum last week included Manchetts, Boortmalt, Bury Bid, Priory Group, Ellisons Solicitors, Stephensons of Essex, Riverwalk School, Central College of Animal Studies, SENDAT, JobCentre, Hales Group, Army, UKME, Apollo, Inspire and Iliffe Media Group.
Tim Shepherd, Iliffe recruitment media consultant, said: “I am delighted with how the Bury Free Press IM Job Fair went this year.
“I personally really enjoyed meeting all the hosts and learning about the range of employers and different businesses.
“They ranged from further education groups to the armed forces and even a business supplying malt to make beer.
“It was really heartwarming to witness the connections being forged by jobseekers and employers.
“I hope both parties alike found the day useful and enjoyable.
“I would also like to thank everyone who attended, both standholders and those who visited.
“Your attendance really helps us continue to put these events on for the community.”
