VIDEO: Mildenhall Town’s Michael Harvey on FA Cup win

Super sub Michael Harvey felt Mildenhall Town were the deserved winner’s of Saturday’s FA Cup extra preliminary round match at Haverhill Rovers, and says he has staked a claim for a starting place.

The player who has converted from a centre-half, from where he played last season, to a striker over the summer, showed manager Dean Greygoose he knows where the net is after scoring what proved to be the only goal of the game at The New Croft, within three minutes of coming on as a 65th minute substitute.

Speaking to sports editor Russell Claydon after the game, Harvey said hosting higher-league Soham Town Rangers in the next round on Saturday, August 29 will be tough, but one they will look forward to.
