VIDEO: Bury Town boss says play-offs aren’t over + the player he’s trying to keep out of his side!

Ben Chenery has refused to rule out his side from the promotion shake-up ahead of play-off chasing Thurrock’s visit on Tuesday (7.45pm), while with 10 players likely to be out he reveals there is one wannabe physio he doesn’t want to have to add to his team sheet.

Conceding an own goal via Tevan Allen’s chest in the 82nd minute on Saturday saw Bury surrender three points at home to sixth-placed Cray Wanderers which saw the Blues drift out to 11 points from the top five play-off spots in Ryman League Division One North.

But Bury boss Chenery believes his side can still make a late charge for an extended season.

Speaking to sports editor Russell Claydon following the game, he expressed his disappointment at dropping two points but his belief that winning four on the trot, starting with Thurrock on Tuesday, could put them right back in the mix for the final straight.
