Hockwold's Tommy Fletcher to return to the ring on the Zach Parker vs John Ryder undercard at The O2 in London

Tommy Fletcher is preparing for his ‘biggest fight yet’ when he returns to the ring at The O2 in London later this month.

The 20-year-old, who lives in Hockwold cum Wilton, will face an as yet unannounced opponent for his third professional bout.

The former Attleborough Boxing Club member is 2-0 as a pro after knockout wins over Aron Vrnoga and Toni Visic earlier this year and is now set for another appearance in one of the UK’s largest arenas, as part of the Zach Parker vs John Ryder undercard on Saturday, November 26.

“I’m buzzing,” he said. “I’m looking forward to it.

“It’s another four round fight and I want to end the year with a bang and go 3-0 with three knockouts.

“Every fight I’m stepping up the level of opponent and I’m ambitious. I want to win titles.

“My first, second and third fights have all been in these big arenas.

“A lot of professionals have to fight in small hall shows which are not televised and for promoters that no one has ever heard of really.

“That’s the route they’ve got to go down but some of them are really good fighters. I’ve been blessed with these opportunities.

“I keep ticking off these big arenas and I think the O2 will be the biggest one yet.

“My second fight in Manchester it was hard to sell tickets, but I’ve already sold more tickets for this one than I did for my debut (at Wembley Arena).”

After being the float fight in his last bout against Visic in September, Fletcher is expected to be given a TV slot on the card at The O2, which is being shown live on BT Sport.

The man nicknamed ‘The Norfolk Nightmare’, who trains under Mark and Jimmy Tibbs, was at The O2 for the event’s press conference.
