Bury Town will begin their Emirates FA Cup journey with an away tie at the winners of the tie involving Swaffham Town and Thetford Town.

The Blues will travel to one of the lower league Thurlow Nunn Premier Division sides in the preliminary round of the competition on August 29, with £1,925 prize money for the winners.

Needham Market’s promotion means they will not enter the competition until the first qualifying round, which is yet to be drawn.

The road to Wembley begins for Mildenhall Town, Thetford Town and Walsham-le-Willows on August 15 when they are among 736 clubs in the extra preliminary round all dreaming of a successful and lucrative run.

Mildenhall will make the short journey to fellow Thurlow Nunn Premier Division side Haverhill Rovers with £1,500 going to the winners.

Thetford travel to Swaffham in a bid to set-up a home tie with Bury Town, while Walsham host Godmanchester Rovers.

In the FA Trophy, Ben Chenery’s Bury travel to Faversham Town in the preliminary round of the competition on Saturday, October 3, while Mark Morseley’s Needham are home to Canvey Island in the first qualifying round on October 31.

In the FA Vase, Thetford Town host Blackstones in the first round of qualifying on Saturday, September 5, while Team Bury travel to St Neots Town Saints with both clubs aiming to pick up the £600 winner’s prize money.

Mildenhall Town will host either Team Bury or St Neots Town in the second round of qualifying on Saturday, October 3, while Stowmarket Town host Hertford Town and Walsham-le-Willows travel to Gorleston.
