A woman was treated for burns after her car left the road near a crop fire yesterday.

A volunteer critical care paramedic from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) charity was called to the accident on the A134 at Cockfield at about 3.15pm while fire crews were tackling a fire in the field next to the road.

SARS says it assessed a female patient for burns injuries before leaving her in the care of the East of England Ambulance Service.

Fire crews dealing with the field fire assisted with the incident.
