Bury St Edmunds Gymophobics closes

Gymophobics in Bury St Edmunds has closed suddenly.

Clients were informed yesterday but no reason given for the sudden closure and today the building in St John's Street, Bury was shut up and its blinds closed.

Notices on the door stated "We sincerely apologise but the gym is shut until further notice" and gave the telephone number of the franchise office in Stafford.

A spokeswoman there said that they were unaware of the closure until this morning when gym members contacted them.

The franchise is owned by Jackie Stuart and the gym opened in May 2017.

We have so far been unable to contact the franchisee for a comment.
