Costa Coffee in Bury St Edmunds to reopen on Friday

Coffee fanatics have plenty of choice in Bury St Edmunds, but the disappearance of Costa this week had some customers worried.

The café in the Arc Shopping Centre is currently inaccessible with what looks to be clearance work taking place behind the glass.

A Twitter user wrote: “What is happening to Bury St Edmunds Costa? It has gone. #nonotice.”

The Whitbread-owned chain has not responded to a request for comment but has now confirmed on Twitter the cafe is being refurbished.

This Friday (January 18) is the reported date of reopening.
