West Suffolk Hospital admits five more coronavirus patients, latest weekly figures reveal
West Suffolk Hospital has admitted five more patients who tested positive for coronavirus, according to latest figures.
As of noon yesterday (June 15), the hospital's trust said it had admitted 247 patients since the outbreak began compared to the 242 in its weekly Covid-19 update last Monday.
It has discharged 127 Covid-19 positive patients, two more than the 125 last week.
Seventy eight coronavirus patients at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust have died.
The last Covid-19 related death announced by the hospital was on Thursday, June 11, which was a patient in their 70s with underlying health conditions.
As of 4.32pm yesterday, Suffolk has recorded 1,545 coronavirus cases with 235 in West Suffolk, 183 in Mid Suffolk, 153 in Babergh, 351 in Ipswich and 623 in East Suffolk.
