Bury St Edmunds weekend road closures lifted as Battle of Britain Parade cancelled
Road closures that had been planned for Bury St Edmunds town centre this weekend have been lifted as an event has been cancelled.
The Battle of Britain Parade which was due to be held on Sunday has been cancelled by organisers which means parking suspensions and road closures put in place in the area will not go ahead.
West Suffolk Council have, however, warned that the Angel Hill area will be busier than usual on Saturday as St Edmundsbury Cathedral hosts a service for Queen Elizabeth II.
The County Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving will begin at 11.30am on Saturday.
Lead by Rt Revd Martin Seeley, Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, It will include prayers and music for invited guests and members of the public.
