Bury St Edmunds Suffolk Park would be completed with plans for two warehouses

Two more huge warehouses could be built at a Suffolk business park – a move which would complete development at the site.

Developer Jaynic has submitted a reserved matters application for 77,000 sq ft and 128,000 sq ft warehouses at Suffolk Park in Bury St Edmunds.

The applications to West Suffolk Council are on Suffolk Park’s final northern plot.

The developer is mulling over whether to speculatively develop the units or wait for a pre-sale/pre-let before starting development.

Ben Oughton, development director at Jaynic, said: “Such has been the demand for warehouses in the region and because of the success we have had at Suffolk Park we have decided to move forward now in finalising the planning situation at the park."

Development is already under way on 160,000 sq ft and 47,000 sq ft warehouses.

Both of which will be ready for occupation before the end of this year and the 47,000 sq ft one is already under offer to a local organisation.

Those who have taken land at Suffolk Park include Hermes Parcelnet, MH Star UK, Unipart Logistics, Treatt, Sealy, The East of England Ambulance Trust and Skechers.
