UPDATE: Bury St Edmunds left with no water or very low water pressure Anglian Water issue statement
Anglian Water is currently investigating an issue with the water supply in Bury St Edmunds.
On their website it states 'We're really sorry but some customers in Bury St Edmunds may have low water pressure or no water at all.
We're aware of reports of a loss of supply in the area and are working hard to identify the cause so that we can get your supply back to normal as soon possible'.
An Anglian Water spokesperson said: “Due to a brief interruption in water pressure this morning caused by an issue with a pump in Bury St Edmunds we can confirm that all pressure is back to normal and any properties which lost water, or experienced lower pressure than normal, are now back on. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused to our customers.”
On their website it advises 'even though the water is back, it may look cloudy or discoloured, but if you run your tap for a few minutes it should clear - you can find out more information about the appearance of you tap water here'.
