Mrs Finn, a Bury resident of 15 years, was 56 when she died.

Among other professional commitments, she worked as a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Police, helping to raise around £1m for the force.

After moving to Suffolk, she worked with the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership for a number of years, assisting them with business engagement.

She founded Pathfinder East in 2016, a consultancy which has provided marketing and development advice to over 1,000 companies.

Mrs Finn was also on the board of Bury-based enterprise agency MENTA.

Alex Till, MENTA's chief executive, said: "Emma was an absolutely remarkable person, full of life, energy and commitment to the work she undertook, and was passionate about supporting new, emerging and existing businesses, especially within Suffolk."

Around 90 people came for the celebration of Mrs Finn's life at the Athenaeum on March 13.

Colleagues and family members from Cambridge were among those in attendance.

Through her French husband, Albert Zerrouki, Mrs Finn had connections to France and Hungary – and relatives travelled from there to pay their respects.

She is buried at Lavenham Cemetery.
