Bury St Edmunds shoplifter Kursten Dixon jailed for 14 weeks




A Bury St Edmunds shoplifter who was charged with stealing more than £2,000 worth of items has been jailed.

Kursten Dixon, 33, of Ashwell Road, Bury St Edmunds, was arrested yesterday and charged with five counts of theft from a shop.

She appeared at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court, in Ipswich, today.

She was accused of:

→ On September 7, stole alcohol, to the value of £54.40, belonging to Co-op in Out Risbygate, Bury St Edmunds.

→ On September 10, stole alcohol, to the value of £26, belonging to Co-op in Out Risbygate, Bury St Edmunds.

→ On October 17, stole cosmetics, to the value of £1,091, belonging to Boots in Bury St Edmunds.

→ On October 16, stole candles, to the value of £732, belonging to Tesco in Bury St Edmunds.

→ On November 16, stole meat products, to the value of £150.79, belonging to Tesco in Bury St Edmunds.

In a Bury St Edmunds Police social media post, a spokesperson said Dixon was sentenced to 14 weeks imprisonment, which included four weeks for breaching a suspended sentence.
