Symonds Road, in Bury St Edmunds, blocked after lorry and bus become stuck

A road on a town estate was blocked after a lorry and a bus travelling in opposite directions became stuck.

Police received reports of a collision between the two vehicles in Symonds Road, Bury St Edmunds, just after 1.30pm.

However, upon arrival at the scene, officers found the vehicles had become stuck while passing by each other.

The incident blocked the road for about 30 minutes.

A police spokesperson said the incident was resolved between the drivers, with no need for recovery.

No injures have been reported and the road was cleared by 2.10pm.
