Tom Odell announces Thetford Forest gig
Tom Odell has announced he is performing at Thetford Forest in July 2015 as part of the Forestry Commission’s Forest Live series.
The talented singer-songwriter, whose debut album Long Way Down shot straight to number one in June 2013, will grace the Thetford Forest stage on July 5.
The performance will be one of seven spectacular shows at woodland venues across the country.
Tom was crowned Songwriter of the Year at the 2014 Ivor Novello Awards as well as previously winning the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award for 2013.
Following a succession of sold-out headline tours and with Long Way Down being certified gold, a packed summer of festival appearances included V Festival, Isle of Wight and a show supporting one his idol Neil Young at Hyde Park.
The 24-year-old was chosen to perform the soundtrack of this year’s John Lewis Christmas advert and is currently in the studio recording his new album.
Commenting on the forest gigs Tom said: “This will be a whole new experience for me. “I can’t wait to bring my live show to the woods and I hope to see you there.”
