Thurston music event to celebrate Ben Wragge
A music event to celebrate the life of Ben Wragge is set to be bigger and better for its second year.
Benni’s Chill, at the Victoria pub, in Thurston, will welcome more than 20 musical acts on July 14 from 2pm.
Claire Wragge, Ben’s mother, said: “It is just such an amazing line up, it is going to be massive,
“I am just so humbled that everyone is coming together for something so positive for my boy.”
The family-friendly event will also have a children’s area, with hair braiding, and face painting as well as a raffle, food and drink.
The proceeds will go to the Ben Wragge Skatepark Fund, which is trying to bring a permanent skate park to the village in memory of Ben, who died in 2016.
Claire said: “It is a long process in finding a home for the park but we just want to give the children of the village something they can use.
"The Bury Skatepark is such a big community project and we want to bring something like that here."
