St Edmundsbury Cathedral, in Bury St Edmunds, will be lit green to raise awareness of the Samaritains




Passers by in a Suffolk town will see a historic landmark lit green on Sunday evening.

The team St Edmundsbury Cathedral, in Bury St Edmunds, have chosen to light up the tower to raise awareness of the Samaritains.

Robin Cutler, who will run the London Marathon for the mental health charity on Sunday, has welcomed the plan to turn the cathedral green.

The businessman, who you can sponsor here, said he hopes to raise as much money as possible for the Bury St Edmunds and West Suffolk branch which receives no central funding.

Mr Cutler said funds need to be raised locally to keep the branch in Northgate Street running.
