Drive-thru McDonald’s and Costa due to open at Suffolk Business Park on edge of Bury St Edmunds this year
A new McDonald’s and Costa Coffee are set to open on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds later this year.
The restaurant and coffee shop will be new additions to Suffolk Business Park, next to junction 45 of the A14.
There are now signs around the development site saying the new McDonald’s and Costa store are ‘coming soon’.
A spokeswoman for McDonald’s said the ambition was for the restaurant to open later this year.
A Costa Coffee spokesperson said: “We’re thrilled to confirm that a new Costa Coffee store of Bury St Edmunds will be opening towards the end of the year.
“We look forward to welcoming customers and the local community to enjoy their favourite cup of Costa coffee.”
The signs say the Costa will be drive-thru or sit in. The McDonald’s will also be drive-thru.
Proposals for the drive-through McDonalds plus a Costa at Suffolk Business Park were given the go-ahead in March last year.
The multi-million-pound development is being delivered by Churchmanor Estates.
In a previous story we said it was expected to generate about 135 new full and part-time jobs.
Near the site is a BP petrol station with a Budgens and Greggs, which opened in December 2022.
