Lakenheath thieves in balaclavas attack man who interrupted catalytic converter theft

Thieves attacked a man with a baseball bat after he disturbed them attempting to steal a catalytic converter from his car.

The victim returned to his car, a silver Honda Legend, in Back Street, Lakenheath, with a friend at 8.45pm yesterday when he discovered three men surrounding his vehicle, and another underneath the car with an angle grinder.

All four men were dressed in black and wearing balaclavas.

One of them hit the victim with a baseball bat on the hip and back before the group fled the scene in a blue Mazda.
