Thetford rapper Franko Fraize supporting Reverend and the Makers on UK tour
After appearing at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Norwich, Thetford rapper Franko Fraize is continuing his winning streak supporting Reverend and the Makers on their UK tour.
The songwriter has received mountains of praise for his performance on the tour, which started in the north of England and is due to finish in his home county with a show in Norwich on November 29.
“I have been a fan of the band for a long time. Rev says he has never had a reaction like this for a support act,” said Franko.
“I feel like I’m on top of the world. To get the love and support from people up north, who know what music is, and to have them on side is unbelievable.
“From where we’ve come from, playing to 40 or 50 people, things are now running proper. We’re playing to sell-out crowds of 2,000 people.
“I have confidence in my own ability and I love playing live, but I don’t take it for granted. It’s nice to feel appreciated and think all your hard work is paying off.”
As well as his slot supporting Reverend and the Makers, Franko is also celebrating the release of his new single Oi Oi! earlier this week.
The track has already found favour on BBC Radio 1 and has been played numerous times.
“I’m waiting for the video to come out, it has been a bit delayed,” Franko said.
“With the tour as well it has all fallen perfectly, people are hearing the track on Radio 1 and seeing it live.”
Oi Oi! is now available to download on iTunes and other music streaming services.
